Tool Crib Attendant

Position Overview

Our client is looking for a tool crib manager to maintain  an accurate computer inventory of all tools and equipment, maintain and safety check all  tools, cord sets, and small equipment.  The tool crib manager will be required to conduct quarterly  tool inventory count, assist Warehouse Manager as required.  A clean driving record will be required in order to make tool, equipment and material deliveries to jobsites as needed.

  • Take calls from the field for tool & equipment orders
  • Check out and in all tools to and from the field
  • Perform maintenance, cleaning and safety checks on tools and cord sets when they are checked in
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on all tools
  • Ensure that all tools sets are complete
  • Quarterly tool inventory count
  • Recommend major repairs and replacement
  • Look for ways to reduce costs in areas of responsibility
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashio
  • Maintain shop stock of bits, blades, batteries, bulbs, Hilti, Cadweld, and First Aid and Safety  supplies
  • Assist in loading and unloading large pieces of equipment
  • Deliver tools, equipment and material to jobsites as needed
  • Provide support to Warehouse Manager
  • Perform all other assigned duties

Standard of Performance:
  • Maintenance of all electric and hand tools
  • Maintain sufficient working inventory of tools
  • Complete quarterly inventory count
  • Cooperative attitude displayed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Provide support to Warehouse Manager
  • Maintain good driving record

Physical Requirements:
  • Atleast 2 years of experience
  • Must be in good physical condition and able to lift and maneuver 70+ pounds.
  • Standing, bending, lifting and walking throughout the day
  • Ability to judge distance and space relationships accurately
  • Ability to see clearly at distance and close up
  • Ability to see peripherally
  • Ability to distinguish and identify different colors
