Business Unit Manager leading the OR Business Unit (ORBU) and developing the worldwide OR solution business in designated geographies, reporting to the President & COO.
We are looking for you, if you have the ability to:
Manage multiple functions of the Business Unit
Professionally interface with customers, distributors and vendors of multiple disciplines
Promote growth in this sector of the business
Here is what you will do day-to-day
Develop the strategy and infrastructure to achieve the objective.
Manage subordinates through all aspects of the project from order definition, bid production and fulfillment of OR solutions.
In conjunction with the Director of International Sales, gain full understanding of customer requirements.
Work collaboratively with sales, marketing and operations to confirm adequacy of the product offering.
Has authority to approve all aspects of the project realization as well as any project changes.
Assign and schedule projects collaboratively with International Sales and ORBU staff.
In conjunction with the Materials Group, review and approve all vendor selections for outside materials required by a project.
Responsible for establishing a training process for customers for all ORBU products in a project.
Collaborate with R&D and Upstream Marketing on all product feature changes or additions to the product line.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
Education and Experience:
Undergraduate degree or greater from a four-year accredited university
Minimum 5 years working in medical device market
Knowledge of Hospital Operations and purchasing systems / bid processes
Knowledge of capital Medical Device market including sales and regulations
Technical knowledge of Operating Tables, OR Lights, OR Pendants and Integration Systems
Knowledge of construction contracting processes including Medical Device installation
Knowledge of hospital organizational structure and decision-making process
Experience dealing with customers in an operating room environment
Planning and Organizational skills with the ability to work independently in an outside the USA environment
Ability to travel internationally 50% of the time
Additional Languages: German and/or Spanish language is desirable
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced culture
Ability to use Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation, project and organizational skills
Excellent customer focus with a high sense of urgency and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to establish and accomplish goals independently and to function as a positive and productive team member
