Product Information Management Specialist (“ PIMS”)
PIM Environment – We are in the process of building digital product catalog to house descriptive information for over 1, 000 products that it markets and distributes. The catalog is built on 1WorldSync, a leader in providing product information software. Once completed, the catalog will be a hub for salespeople, employees and buyers to go to for detailed information on the array of our products. It will also be linked to customers.
The PIM team is responsible for publishing and maintaining accurate product information, as well as the marketing materials within the catalog. The PIMS will develop product information management, data input and database management skills. This role will be to interpret and gather product information from specification sheets and food certifications and enter it into data tables that will be validated and uploaded to the 1WorldSync catalog.
Content will be gathered from many sources: manufacturing plants, suppliers, ERP system and intracompany website, Global Data Synchronization Network (“ GDSN”), and printed materials. The data types will include images and descriptions, as well as ingredient, nutritional and allergen information. A successful PIMS candidate will exhibit the initiative to hunt down required information and or have it created (e.g. product images)
The PIMS will also be tasked with managing CDPI’ s Quality Assurance document library. The role includes requesting product documentation, specification sheets, certificates, etc. from vendor partners then filing and maintaining them in an internal document library. The PIMS will also be responsible for publishing them on-line on TraceGains to keep our customers connected with current specifications and utilizing the gathered documentation to fulfill incoming doc requests from CDPI District Sales Managers.
· Bachelor’ s degree in a related field (Business, Nutrition, Marketing, Food Science etc.)
· Experience with data entry helpful, but not mandatory
· Microsoft Office Suites (Excel)
