Summary of Responsibilities:
  • The day to day scientific duties of the position will be to optimize and execute quantitative analytical methods such as ELISA, SPR binding activity and cell based assays.
  • Activities will also include data review, report writing, and compilation/presentation of analytical data.
  • May also include interface with quality control scientists to provide training and support for GMP qualified methods.
  • Initiate and complete scientific experiments
  • Independently optimize and execute test methods
  • Analyze and critically review analytical data
  • Present analytical results in a clear manner
  • Perform laboratory troubleshooting for technical problems

Required Qualifications:
  • BS with 5-8 years' experience with analytical methods, or MS with 4+ years' experience.
  • Must have prior hands-on experience with optimization of analytical methods in a process science environment including experience in quantitative ELISAs, and either SPR (Biacore) binding activity OR mammalian cell based assays.
  • Hands-on experience with Biacore T200, Octet Red96 for concentration measurement.
  • Hands-on experience with quantitative measurement of residual impurities.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and cell based assays to determine relative potency.
  • Experience in 1 or more of the following: reporter gene assay, apoptosis assay, t-cell activation assay.
  • Working knowledge of SoftMax Pro.
  • Familiarity with GMP methods, method qualification protocols and reports.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including  OneNote and Microsoft Project.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
