The Marketing Manager is focused on downstream marketing activities to grow product revenue and profit. The position collaborates with cross-functional team members for the creation and execution of marketing programs such as campaigns both online and offline that will help meet the marketing objectives for the respective product lines.
This role has both strategic and tactical responsibility for supporting achievement of revenue and income objectives by providing market overviews, developing and executing marketing plans, and conducting ROI analysis to determine effectiveness of marketing plans. The position develops, implements, and supports marketing campaigns to drive adoption of specific products or markets amongst targeted healthcare professional and patient audiences.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develop and execute an integrated marketing and communications strategy to drive sales results, build brand awareness and solidify a leading market positioning.
Create lead generation strategies for sales – including print, direct mail, digital marketing, event marketing, clinical marketing, and other forms of product marketing.
Conduct marketing research and business insights on competitive comparisons, market dynamics, and key marketing program ROI in an effort to drive business. Analyze sales data and compile competitive information within applicable markets. Utilize data to effectively respond to market changes.
Develop an editorial strategy and write or secure content for website, event marketing, and social media accounts.
Oversee execution of marketing activities from strategy to production/design and results tracking.
Devise PR strategies for key trade and business press – including building relationships with key journalists and pitching stories featuring CMC executives.
Identify and develop KOLs as part of clinical marketing strategies that may include speaking engagements at key trade events, testimonial videos, or clinical training tools.
Contract external vendors and/or agencies for designing and producing Marketing assets such as: brochures, website pages, handouts, etc.
Support the Learning and Development group in the product training of current and new employees in the sales organization.
Ensure all POS/Marketing Materials meet company approved branding and trademark guidelines and obtain final approval from the appropriate departments.
Work with Marketing Communications and outside agencies to ensure marketing materials are produced on time and within budget.
Work independently and in a team environment; manage multiple projects, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, RA/QA, etc.) to develop, execute programs.
Initiate ECNs to update and maintain the current products and marketing materials.
Interface with Upstream Product Marketing Managers by providing timely marketing input and assistance with the development of line extensions and product improvements.
Responsible for the evaluation of pricing and profitability of the assigned product portfolio, and for making recommendations for changes, with justification, where required, to meet the corporate goals.
Utilize Pardot to create and manage focused product campaigns.
Attend and actively participate in all meetings for assigned product and market areas.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Bachelor’ s degree in Marketing/Business or related field required. MBA preferred.

Excellent marketing plan development and implementation skills and experience including product positioning and target segmentation.
Ability to demonstrate tactical marketing planning techniques.
Successful analytical skills to provide sales trends, forecasting, and competitive product and market analysis.
Demonstrated market research knowledge and skills.
Successful experience budgeting and pricing products.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
Ability to represent the Company professionally, creating positive interactions that lead to additional sales and the success of the Company.
Excellent computer skills including operating Windows based personal computers, various office equipment and machines, and telephone system. Ability to efficiently and effectively use Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to clearly express oneself verbally in the English language (additional languages also preferred) using good grammar, vocabulary, eye contact, and friendly voice inflection with all employees. Ability to communicate effectively with employees and other business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
Excellent customer focus with a high sense of urgency. Ability to provide excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
