The Inside Sales Representative sells the company’ s products and/or services via telephone or electronic means to customers in an assigned territory and/or to assigned accounts in the United States. Position is responsible for generating and closing sales while meeting sales quota established by senior management

Here is what you will do day-to-day:


Drive sales of assigned products and services, which may include Soft Goods, renewals, warranty conversion, and new contracts.

Convert dormant accounts into long-term customers.

Gather leads from Excel files and create opportunities in SFDC.

Manage and keep your SFDC funnel updated daily while maintaining forecast accuracy.

Engage directly with existing customers through an outbound telephone method to outsell the competition by means of an appropriate needs assessment and product positioning to meet and/or overachieve assigned revenue targets.

Achieve or exceed sales quota revenue targets monthly and quarterly.

Advise customers on products and services for a given need based on technical knowledge.

Ability to function calmly in a fast paced environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously. To be able to positively manage situations of a dynamic nature; to be able to modify plans, actions, and decisions in light of changing situations and circumstances while still meeting, or proposing modified, deadlines Maintain awareness, compile, and communicate competitive information on products and/or services preferred by the marketplace.

Establish effective rapport and productive relationships with Account Managers and build effective relationships with customers throughout the United States.

Evaluate customer’ s needs and emphasize salable product features, using technical knowledge of capabilities and limitations of current product offerings.

Submit any leads for non-commissioned products and services to the appropriate Account Manager.

Train and instruct other members of the department and the company, by passing along skills and information to assist them in their development and advancement either with one-on-one or with platform training skills.

Understand the business objectives and the relationship between the Sales Operations department and those objectives; to support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission & Values Statements, to maintain the services and quality levels, and to continually enable the company to be a great place to work.

Understand, follow and support internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).



What you will need to be successful in this role:

Requires a minimum of two (2) years selling experience in the medical marketplace; medical device and/or capital equipment preferred.

Working knowledge of CRM preferably SFDC funnel and quoting. Previous SAP and Service Max experience is a plus.

Bachelor’ s degree in business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Able to demonstrate sales success in the medical device industry or capital equipment space is required.

Able to coordinate and lead effective calls with customers at various levels within hospitals; i.e. executives, administrators, biomedical, engineering, purchasing/materials management, etc.

Working knowledge of sales processes is required; the Trust Triangle method is preferred.

Ability to clearly express oneself verbally and in writing in the English language (additional languages also preferred). Ability to communicate effectively with employees and other business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.

Able to successfully multi-task in a fast paced environment by effectively managing the sales conversation while navigating through multiple systems to obtain historical data, processing orders, answering questions, and/or obtaining orders.

Excellent computer skills including operating Windows based personal computers, various office equipment and machines, and telephone system. Ability to efficiently and effectively use Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Excellent customer focus with a high sense of urgency. Ability to provide excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including persuasion, teamwork, listening, relationship building, self-motivation, and negotiation skills.

Must possess the ability to quickly gather data, identify trends and/or issues, clearly communicate next steps, and diligently follow-up to ensure that opportunities are closed.

Able to ensure an effective collaboration process between sales and Service departments.

Able to demonstrate an understanding, and the regular use of a time management process, which systematically structures one’ s own work to provide for effective task performance and to plan and prioritize items to meet future demands.

Ability to travel occasionally.
