Import and Export Coordinator, SCM Logistics

Shift time - 5am - 2pm ideally but it can also be 6am - 3pm

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Import and Export Coordinator, SCM Logistics will be part of North America Supply Chain Management team reporting to Global Supply Chain Management Director. This position will require knowledge of international and domestic trade and logistics to support customer order deliveries in US, Canada and on a Global scale. This position will require working closely with SCM teams in Italy and China on shipment schedule and export documents and locally with operations office in Cleveland, OH. In addition, the requirement of this positions is to work together with appointed freight forwarders in distribution of commercial documents and setting up deliveries to the customers. This position is the Company’ s main connection point between our North American Warehouses and North American freight forwarders

 

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work in conjunction with logistics personnel in Italy and China on import shipments to US, Canada, and other regions of the world
  • Receive and review for accuracy commercial documents from origin and distribute them to freight forwarders
  • Upload commercial documents on company’ s web server
  • Update import and export schedules and delivery of material to final customers
  • Weekly receive and review freight forwarder’ s import reports for most updated import schedule
  • Coordinate RFQs with freight forwarders and warehouse. Finalize rates at the direction of SCM Director.
  •   Monthly upload updated freight rates on company’ s web server.
  • Verify freight bills against freight rates prior to submitting freight invoices to account payable
  • Maintain Inventory Tracker for SANGRAF USA customers; (in transit and in warehouses) in transit.   Report monthly inventory levels and alert SCM Director and Management if inventory levels begin to climb beyond targets
  • Responsible for physical inventory accuracy in warehouses by consolidating month end inventory with vendors (on site physical count may require)
  • Generate and provide packing list to freight forwarders and warehouses prior to delivery of material to customers
  • Coordinate customer delivery schedule with sales force, warehouses, and freight forwarders
  • File claims for damaged material
  • Communicate to sales team on import arrival and delivery schedule to customers Provide customers with delivery schedule of material

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferred Education and Experience: BA in • operations, supply chain or related business field
  • Three (3) years of experience in Supply Chain international and domestic logistics.
  • Experience in foreign domestic and international trade
  • Incoterm knowledge is must
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v lookup, macros, data analysis)
  • Proficiency with Word and Power Point  
  • Knowledgeable with CRM • Fluent in English and Italian and Chinese a plus;
  • Ability to interact with staff, partners and customers in a very professional way
  • Experience in Quick Books
  • ERP systems, SAP, Oracle, or similar system is a plus
