Facilities Technician III

San Jose, CA

Principal Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
  • Perform preventive Maintenance, equipment repairs, installations, and corrective maintenance on mechanical/HVAC equipment (compressors, air dryers, process cooling water systems, process vacuum systems, chilled water pumps, etc.)
  • Inspect major systems and identify operating problems, perform advanced troubleshooting, and implement repairs. Perform rounds and readings to insure equipment is operating normally.
  • Perform building operations including building automation monitoring, alarm response, and implementation of corrective actions. Support Engineering and customer request. Support continuous improvement efforts for the site. 
  • Participate in the site Emergency Response Team (ERT) requiring completion of Hazardous Materials Training and Confined Space Training.

  • Skilled in operating a variety of electrical tools and instruments.
  • Able to adapt written and verbal instructions to recognized industrial equipment operating practices.
  • Able to operate standard HVAC testing equipment and tools. Capable of reading and understand blue prints and/or schematic diagrams.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment. Must have good communication and computer skills (email, word, excel). 
  • Able to implement standard trade practices consistent with HVAC industry requirements. Ability to perform building operations, responds to alarms, and implements corrective actions.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company and site safety standards.
  • Comply with safety requirements, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Reach for and manipulate objects, and/or power tools, materials, and/or equipment.
  • Requires occasional to frequent lifting or moving materials weighing up to approximately 35 pounds Stand, walk or sit for long periods.
  • Stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and/or crawl.
  • Climb, work on ladders, scaffolds or other facilities and equipment and/or work on heights.
  • Recognize differences in size, shape and shading of lines, figures, objects or drawings.
  • Able to hear or see emergency alarm signals.
