Calibration Coordinator

Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Maintain calibration database to include calibration and replacement of expired test equipment.
  • Coordinate on-site and external processes to meet audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to out of tolerance conditions through quality procedures.
  • Formulate continuous improvements to enhance flow of work procedures.
  • Receive, register if needed, and store equipment for service use.
  • Distribute, coordinate, and file department training files and or records.
  • Identify objectives while determining immediate and future forecast of equipment requirements and communicate critical project issues.
  • Coordinate and procure needed inventory through various vendors as needed.
  • Liaison for various departments within area of expertise to respond to equipment needs and or assist in training of methodologies for new employees or contractors as required or needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate revisions of ongoing quality policies (QP), operating procedures (OP) and Technical Bulletins (TB) to various groups.
  • Coordinate with third party contractors who service Ventana equipment, cross functionally with other internal and external departments, to ensure adherence to quality policies, procedures and specifications. - Participate in ongoing education in reference to maintenance, logistics and or regulatory issues in reference to test equipment or other areas as required or needed.
  • Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promotes Quality First Time.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
  • Additional functions for GTS Department:
  • Manage and coordinate FedEx shipments following logistic and or regulatory resources for U.S. and International locations.
  • Coordinate with internal engineers and external vendors regarding revisions and or validation of equipment used in the field.
  • Plan equipment resources to minimize transportation costs, and maximize positive capital while ensuring product availability and customer satisfaction.

Summary of Qualifications:
  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Associate' s Degree in applicable technical field preferred.
  • 3 years minimum in quality assurance in the medical device industry, and/or instrument calibration.
  • Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulation 21 CFR-820, ISO9000 preferred.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and organizational skills.

  • Must be able to work to tight, multiple deadlines with short lead times.
  • Able to track and report product and process characteristics.
  • Ability to analyze data, trending, etc.
  • Proficient in use and application of computer software including, Excel, Access, MS Outlook, etc.
