Bioinformatics Associate IV

Summary of Responsibilities:    
  • Perform comprehensive analysis of various NGS datasets such as RNA-seq, ChIP-seq/ATAC-seq and generate biological insights.
  • Develop and implement computational pipelines for end-to-end analysis of new high throughput assays.
  • Work closely with bench scientists to better understand the experimental design and advice statistically sound analysis.

Summary of Qualifications:
  • A recent PhD graduate in bioinformatics, genomics or computational biology or master’ s degree with 4+ years of experience
  • Strong computational and analytical skills, including high level of proficiency with R programming language and Bioconductor packages.
  • Experience with analysis of high throughput data such as RNA-seq, ChIP-seq/ATAC-seq.
  • Familiarity with public genomic databases such as ENCODE, TCGA, gnomAD.
  • Experience with working in Linux-based servers.
  • Good data science practice, and understanding of data complexity.
  • Good communication skills and interest in exploring the biology.
