Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Provide temporary support to the Translational Neuroscience group by performing biochemical and immunohistological assays to support drug development for neurodegenerative disorders.
  • Duties include mouse necropsy, tissue harvest and analysis of target engagement and efficacy of putative therapeutics in mouse models of disease.
  • Expected to develop or run existing biochemical assays, analyze and present data, as well as to frequently interact and communicate with other groups as part of a diverse and multidisciplinary team.

  • B.S/B.A. degree with at least 2 years industry/lab experience.
  • Experience with processing nervous tissue for various assays (tissue homogenization or sectioning), immunohistochemistry, confocal imaging experience a plus, performing Immunoprecipitations (IPs), Western blots, and ELISAs.
  • Training in performing ELISAs would also be ideal.
  • Some training in neuroscience and experience with rodent neuroanatomy would also be ideal.
  • Should be meticulously organized with outstanding time management skills.
