Research Assistant (Chemistry)

Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Perform chemical and physical assays on drug substance and drug products.
  • Collect, calculate, and compute data.
    • Analyze and submit interpreted results to supervisor for disposition.
    • Report abnormalities immediately.
    • Investigate, analyze, and resolve problems within prescribed scope of authority.
    • Write non-conformance reports.
  • Review and verify test results performed by other chemists.
  • Evaluate and improve techniques and assays.
  • Write, review and revise SOP’ s as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must possess a BS/BA degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry, or related field.
  • 0-2 year’ s recent experience in a pharmaceutical company testing drug products, developing HPLC methods, and thorough compliance to GMP regulations and internal SOPs.
  • Must have recent, continuous hands-on HPLC experience.
  • Working knowledge of Chem Station, Chem Store, OpenLab and Agilent HPLC systems is a plus.
  • Must readily follow all documentation requirements and demonstrate GMP compliance.
