Information Security Engineer

Job Duration: FULL TIME

Principal Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Operate system vulnerability management process, apply improvements as needed, maintain required documentation
  • Perform internal security audits to ensure policy compliance and document all findings
  • Assess information security risks of new projects and non-standard IT requests using risk assessment methodologies based on provided architecture. This will require practical use and understanding of advanced security protocols and standards, and solid knowledge of information security principles and practices
  • Assist with enterprise-wide risk assessment processes
  • Coordinate cross-functional team meetings to remediate previously identified security risks and close out pending action plans
  • Support and improve information security systems and solutions, for example strong authentication, key management, IPS, SIEM, antimalware, and others
  • Proactively assess potential items of risk and opportunities of vulnerability in the systems and network
  • Interact with internal and external customers on security-related projects and operational tasks
  • Participate in 24x7 Information Security Response team
  • Communicate with company workers on security awareness topics

Qualifications
  • Experience in IT security baseline/benchmarking and procedures development
  • Practical use and implementation of solid knowledge of information security principles and practices; Understanding of IT methodologies, such as software development lifecycle and operations
  • Technical working knowledge of Linux OS, Network Protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, DNS), Container technologies and Web security architecture, Firewalls, IAM, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Cryptography
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to " think-out-of-the-box"
  • Proven experience performing or project managing information security risk assessments
  • Certification and/or knowledge of vulnerability management tool[s]
  • Certification and/or knowledge of intrusion detection systems
